Our client is an investment bank and has been involved in many pivotal energy transactions and company expansions in the areas of M&A, capital raising, project finance, and tax equity advisory. They serve developers, investors, and sponsors in jurisdictions around the world. 

About this role

The tax equity advisory practice is comprised of a cross-functional team that combines renewable energy, sustainable technology, and infrastructure market experience with tax, accounting, and financial expertise. Over the past five years, they have advised clients on over 30 transactions, including tax equity capital raising, tax equity investment advisory, and buyside M&A advisory related to solar, wind, carbon capture, and fuel cell projects. The tax equity advisory practice also provides tax equity and valuation related technical support across the firm’s M&A, capital raising, and project finance mandates.   

Due to growth, the tax equity practice is hiring a Vice President.  As a core member of the team, they will lead the day-to-day aspects of tax equity-focused investment banking mandates and pitches, including performing a wide range of complex analytical, valuation, and financial modeling analyses and leading preparation of written marketing or pitch materials. The role requires strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines.  The Vice President will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with a variety of industry constituents, including investors, current and prospective clients, law firms, and other consultants.

Preferred Experience
  • Strong experience working on tax equity transactions.  
  • Background in renewable energy required. 
  • Strong experience in project finance and tax equity modeling.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • FINRA licensing, or ability to obtain.
  • Experience working with financial models and understanding complex transactions.
