Cynthia Kaplan, Senior Associate

Cynthia has over 30 years of combined experience in Executive Search, Recruiting, Investigative Research, Business Development, Marketing, and Leadership Coaching.

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, in January 2009 Cynthia joined TRANSEARCH Mexico as a consulting partner, where she performed full-cycle recruiting, from business development and client management to interviewing and selecting and finest executive talent from Mexico, the US & Canada, and Latin America. In April 2019, she joined TRANSEARCH USA as a Senior Recruiter in the Chicago office, while supporting business development for TRANSEARCH Mexico.

Cynthia has worked in various industry sectors ranging including Energy, Mining, Chemicals, Healthcare and IT, Automotive, Retail, and Infrastructure/Construction. She has also recruited in a wide range of functional areas that include General Management, Corporate, and Cyber Security, Supply Chain, Operations, Business Development, Finance, Human Resources as well as Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental and Regulatory affairs positions.

Earlier in her career, Cynthia spent over 9 years as a consultant and head of Marketing and Client Development with two of the leading international business risk consultancies, Kroll and Control Risks. Prior to that, she gained international market research experience working in Japan for a leading Japanese manufacturer and supplier to the automotive and construction industries.

Cynthia has a Master´s degree in International Management from the Arthur D. Little School of Management (currently known as Hult International Business School) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she graduated with honors. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Spanish from the University of New Hampshire.

Cynthia is a trained Leadership Coach and certified in various assessment tools including Hogan Assessments, currently used along with Orxestra to evaluate and develop executives and their teams.

Cynthia sits on the board of the American Benevolant Society in Mexico City and is a member of various Chambers of Commerce in Mexico as well as a founding member of the Mexico City chapter of AMMJE, (Asociación Mexicana de Mujeres Jefes de Empresas), a national association of women entrepreneurs.

Cynthia has duo US-Mexican nationality and is fluent in Spanish, with a basic command of Japanese.
